What Algorithmic art with p5.js does

The skill splits the work into two stages. First the agent writes an "algorithmic philosophy": a named generative art movement described in four to six paragraphs and saved as a Markdown file. It explains the idea through noise, particles, fields, forces and parameters instead of a fixed picture. Before coding, the agent also picks out a quiet conceptual reference from the user's request and folds it into the algorithm's parameters and behavior.

In the second stage the agent turns that philosophy into a p5.js sketch. It has to read the bundled templates/viewer.html first and keep its fixed parts: the layout, the Poppins and Lora fonts, the light Anthropic colors, the seed controls and the action buttons. Only the algorithm, the parameter object and the parameter controls change from piece to piece. Randomness is seeded, so one seed always gives the same output. A second file, templates/generator_template.js, is a reference for organizing parameters, seeded randomness and classes.

The result is the philosophy text plus one self-contained HTML file. It loads p5.js from a CDN and keeps everything else inline: sliders, optional color pickers, previous, next, random and jump-to-seed controls, and regenerate, reset and PNG download buttons. The file runs as a claude.ai artifact or in a browser.

The folder ships one JavaScript file, templates/generator_template.js, a reference sketch the agent reads before writing its own code into an HTML file.
