Evaluation & observability
Polylane
Watches production logs, metrics and traces, investigates issues and opens pull requests with fixes for your team to review.
What Polylane does
Polylane is a hosted service that monitors production systems and tries to fix what breaks. You connect GitHub repositories, cloud accounts and, if you want, observability tools. Polylane then reads logs, metrics and traces across services, learns what normal looks like for each, and raises an issue when behavior drifts.
For each issue, its agents look at code, recent deploys and telemetry, then write up the likely cause with the evidence behind it. When a code change can fix the problem, Polylane writes it and opens a pull request. The docs say it does not deploy anything itself: the PR goes through your usual review and CI. It also checks pull requests for how they could affect production, and you can ask questions about your infrastructure in Threads or through a Slack agent.
Listed connections include AWS, Cloudflare, Vercel, Fly.io, Render, Railway and Kubernetes on the cloud side, Datadog, Sentry, Honeycomb, Grafana Cloud and others for observability, and GitHub, Slack, Linear, Cursor and Devin for development work. There is a CLI, a REST API and an MCP server, so coding agents can query the same production context. MCP and API reads do not count against plan limits.
Paid plans differ mainly in a monthly pool of credits that covers investigations, autofixes and PR reviews. When credits run out the agents pause until the pool resets, unless you turn on capped pay-as-you-go, available from the Scale plan up. Polylane fits engineering teams on the supported clouds that already work through GitHub pull requests.
- Detecting production anomalies from logs, metrics and traces without hand-written alert rules
- Investigating an incident's root cause across code, deploys and telemetry
- Receiving fix pull requests for production issues, reviewed through normal CI
- Reviewing pull requests for their likely effect on production
- Giving coding agents production context through the MCP server or API
Who should use it
- Engineering teams running services on AWS, Cloudflare, Vercel, Kubernetes or the other listed platforms
- Teams that want fixes delivered as GitHub pull requests rather than applied automatically
Who should look elsewhere
- Teams that cannot connect cloud accounts or repositories to a third-party hosted service
- Teams that do not use GitHub, since fixes and PR reviews run through the GitHub App
Strengths
- Fixes arrive as pull requests and go through normal review and CI
- Free plan with no credit card, and published prices for every paid tier except Enterprise
- Long list of cloud, observability and developer-tool integrations
- REST API and MCP server, with reads that do not count against limits
Limitations
- Agentic work draws on a monthly credit pool; agents pause when it runs out unless pay-as-you-go is enabled on Scale or higher
- The Free plan is limited to 2 team members and 2 cloud accounts
- Credits are weighted by model cost, and the site expresses allowances as multiples of the Free plan, not as fixed numbers of investigations
- Bringing your own LLM provider key is listed only for Enterprise
Privacy notes
Polylane states it has SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 certification, encrypts data with AES-256 at rest and uses TLS 1.2 or higher in transit.
